詩歌集內容會分為四大部分，而每部分大約有六首詩歌。

第一部分主題是「珍惜篇」，主要是強調少年兒童對時間、學習、親情和成長的珍惜。

第二部分主題是「友誼篇」，主要表達童年友誼的珍貴，引起思考如何經營深刻而永久的友誼，和歌頌友誼在少年兒童成長中的重要。

第三部分主題是「自然篇」，藉著對大自然的觀察，用以小見大的手法，引導兒童認識自然風貌，感受山海有情，培養愛自然的情懷，生出守護地球的責任精神。
